ABOUT US

Wood burning, multi-fuel, gas and electric stoves

We have been trading since 1965 firstly as precision engineers and since 1979 supplying stoves. We do not sell on the internet, stoves need to be carefully chosen to ensure that they don’t get you too hot, or not hot enough.

Upgrade your home’s heating with wood burning stoves Surrey & wood burning stoves Hampshire. Our stylish and eco-friendly stoves provide efficient warmth all winter.

Stoves

Traditional

Traditional stoves are a perfect addition to a family home, cottage, public house etc. Whilst keeping you warm they enhance any room with their classic charm.

Contemporary

Contemporary stoves are a perfect addition to a family home, whilst keeping you warm they are also a great feature and talking point.

In today’s busy world many people simply don’t have the time to build and tend a real fire. A gas stove will provide the answer, offering immediate warmth of a real log fire at the flick of a switch.

Electric

Electric stoves feature a whisper quiet fan heater and a very effective flame effect. Thermostatic control and an adjustable heat output are also standard features across the range.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Below are listed some of the most commonly asked questions about our available wood burning and multi-fuel stoves. If you can’t find the answer to your question below, then please get in contact with us!

Wood - Logs

Choosing the right type of firewood depends on your unique preferences. For example, you may place importance on a pleasant aroma, crackles and pops or simply a clean burn. We’d be happy to make recommendations based on your requirements as we have experience with logs of all types.

Wood - Seasoning

The term “seasoning” refers to the process of drying wood, so it’s ready to be burned in your new fireplace or stove. It’s very important to only purchase fuel products that have been appropriately seasoned to minimise moisture content.

Safety!

Woodburners require proper operation and maintenance. Firstly, it’s important to only use proper fuel that has gone through the appropriate seasoning process. Regular cleaning with a wire brush is also strongly recommended for longevity and safety.

Do I require a Carbon Monoxide Alarm?

Yes – a carbon monoxide alarm will be fitted at every installation. The alarms we supply will have a 7-year battery life, so you don’t have to worry about changing the battery constantly. Just test the alarm once a month for compliance and security!

How often should I sweep my chimney?

When regularly burning wood, HETAS encourages you to get your chimney swept at least twice a year. It’s usually best to request this service just before the start of the winter season.

Are Site Surveys Required for Every New Installation?

Yes – a comprehensive property survey is a requirement to ensure that you get the right product that suits your exact requirements. One of our friendly team members will agree a time that’s most suitable for you!
